Cell phone study
The evidence against wireless technology continues to mount. I thought you might want to know about this new report that just came out today regarding cell phones and brain cancer.
Dr.Vini Khurana, a staff specialist neurosurgeon at the Canberra Hospital in Australia, has been doing a 14-month investigation into the connection between cell phones and brain tumors. He reviewed more than 100 international studies on this subject and here’s what he found :
- To date at least 8 clinical studies and one long-term meta-analysis link cell phones and certain types of brain tumors
- The “incubation time” or “latency” (the time from cell phone use to malignant brain tumor diagnosis) may be 10 to 20 years. In the years 2008-2012 we will have reached an appropriate length of follow-up time to observe the impact of this technology on brain tumor rates.
- The elevated risk increased odds appears to be in the order of two- to four-fold.
- Bluetooth devices and unshielded headsets can convert the users’ head into an effective potentially self-harming antenna.
- Children should only use cell phones and cordless phones in emergencies and everyone should use a landline.
- Exposure is long-term and its effects on the body, particularly its electrical organ, the brain, are compounded by numerous other simultaneous long-term exposures including continuous waves from radio and TV transmitter towers, cordless phone base stations, power lines and wireless/Wi-Fi computing devices.
- Taken together, the data presented compellingly suggest that the link between cell phones and brain tumors should no longer be regarded as a myth.
- It is anticipated that this danger has far broader public health ramifications than asbestos and smoking, and directly concerns all of us, particularly the younger generation, including very young children.
He went on to say,
“…unless the Industry and Governments take immediate and decisive steps to openly acknowledge and intervene in this situation, even while waiting definitive confirmation by large and well-constructed multi-center studies worldwide, malignant brain tumor incidence and its associated death rate will be observed globally to rise within a decade from now, by which time it may be far too late to meaningfully intervene, especially for those who are currently children and young adults.”
Land lines are a little safer but you still need to protect against EMF radiation in all electrical divices.
