Forget the surgery: try facial exercises

Patient before in 1993 and after in 1999 age 50

Ways to look good without surgery!

There are several good sources for exercises that work and can be done in less than ten minutes a day once you get your muscles in shape. It works for me! Check out the before and after photos on these sites.

facelady.com Video only unfortunately but good.

www.flexeffect.com She is a physical therapist, very knowledgeable. This is the only facial exercise program that uses resistance rather than just toning. Do not fear if your face feels sore after the first day.

Contrary to popular belief handling the skin does not make more wrinkles. Using the underlying muscles actually brings more circulation to the face and helps tone it. as the muscles grow the face becomes firmer and the wrinkles will fill in a bit.

I have memorized most of the exercises and I use a little of each of these programs while I am waiting in traffic. There is no way I can find time to do them all in one sitting 20 minutes a day!

Dermacia makes a good foundation

foundation that does not accentuate wrinkles and lines and improves skin texture. Dermacia has an innovative twist on the industry: highly breathable cosmetics . Dermacia Breathable Foundation contains the patented Lycogel Complex with LYCD, which, in fact, is clinically proven to increase the amount of topical oxygen to the skin. (LYCD, Live Yeast Cell Derivative, was actually developed and is used to promote healing of burns.)

Instead of working against the needs of the skin and aging it faster by blocking oxygen, Dermacia’s foundation can actually help it. Furthermore, this property makes Dermacia suitable for those with skin conditions such as acne and rosacea.

Loren Hutton creates make up for women over 40

I like that she shows you how to apply the make up. My face has changed over the years and the make up I was using at 25 did not work at 45

Pilates can improve bone density and more

Zoe zuniga on ballI have seen people of all ages improve their posture, flexibility and strength and gain bone mass through movement. Pilates is still a mystery to many people. “It’s like yoga right?” People often ask me. But it is much different than yoga because it is resistance training.

Pilates incorporates weight bearing, resistance training, and using full range of motion. Pilates uses active stretching rather than the passive stretching of most types of yoga. Pilates also focuses on balanced posture and agility. Some Pilates classes even incorporate polymeric using a jump board. Pilates can be done using a mat and your own body weight or using balls, weights, exercise bands or the Pilate machines: reformer, arm and legs springs, arc barrel and chair.

I recommend Stott Pilates videos and certified trainers as the safest most up to date training available.
